Zach Edey’s Next Chapter: Purdue’s Star Center Sets Sights on NBA

Zach Edey, the 2024 Naismith Player of the Year and center for Purdue, told ESPN that he has submitted his NBA Draft application. The 7-foot-4 Canadian is ranked No. 21 on The Athletic’s most recent big board and is expected to be selected in the first round.

In 39 games during his senior year, Edey scored a career-high 25.2 points, grabbed 12.2 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks on 62.3 percent shooting. In six NCAA Tournament games, Edey averaged 29.5 points, 14.5 rebounds, and 1.8 while the Boilermakers fell to UConn in the national final.
