From College Champion to NBA Prospect: UConn Star Donovan Clingan Enters 2024 Draft”

Donovan Clingan, a talented center for UConn, announced on social media on Friday that he would be joining the 2024 NBA Draft.

The 7-foot-2 sophomore, who is anticipated to be in the discussion for the No. 1 overall pick, was a key player in the Huskies’ championship run this season.

Despite having a difficult start to the season, Clingan used his 7-foot-7 wingspan to his advantage in the closing minutes of play to play some of his greatest basketball. He averaged 2.5 blocked shots per game.

Clingan’s overall stats from the regular season were better in the NCAA Tournament, as he averaged 15.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 3.2 blocks per game. He had the most blocks in the tournament—19—among players since 2015–2016.
