One and Done: USC’s Isaiah Collier Makes Leap to the NBA After a Single Season

After just one season, Isaiah Collier is heading out of Southern California to make his NBA Draft debut.

The Trojans announced his decision Wednesday on their X page.

“Congratulations Zay and good luck in your next chapter!” the post read.

Collier started 26 of the 27 games in which he played and averaged 16.3 points, which was second-best on the team, and 2.9 rebounds. For the Trojans, who finished 15–18 overall, he shot 49% from the field and 67% from the free-throw line. Following surgery on his right hand in January, he missed six games.

Collier received honorable mention on the All-Pac-12 Team and was chosen to the All-Freshman Team.

The 6-foot-5 guard from Atlanta came to USC as the top-ranked recruit in the nation last year out of Wheeler High in Georgia.

Collier is the most recent participant to leave the program. Recently, coach Andy Enfield departed to take a position at SMU, and Bronny James, a freshman and the son of NBA great LeBron James, declared he was going to enter the transfer portal and declare for the draft. Kobe Johnson, a junior, moved to UCLA, a crosstown foe.

Last Monday, Enfield was replaced by Eric Musselman, who was hired from Arkansas. Collier showed up for his press conference.
